HI
when i ping any system inside my LAN network i get reply time delay.
time=4ms
time=16ms
time=55ms
Request time out
time=1ms
time=48ms
time=80ms
time=64ms
i dont know for what reason i get this time variation in LAN, due to this i was not able to file transfer, even a 5MB exe file takes more than 30 min to move. most of time it breaks and need to retransfer again.
I want to know what all the things i need to check to find whats the real problem in my LAN network.
My main switchs are 2 48port nortel and i have sub 3-4 16port D-Link switch.
All CAT5 cables.

Those D-link switches are manageable or non-manageable?
Unmanaged switches have no configuration defined. There are sold for home and small businesses. Whereas in managed switches, VLAN and proper routing can be defined for better performance of the network. |

Virus might be causing the problem. Use WireShark tool to monitor your individual system traffic, in prior to this, check your firewall traffic log. I guess there might be some malicious traffic flowing in your network to contact remote bots. |
